Sink faucet outlets and shower heads should be soaked in white vinegar occasionally. I even soak the outlet for my kitchen tap water filter. When you run a pot of white vinegar through your coffee pot, pour if down the sink disposal while running the motor, to kill latent germs that cause the odor. A little cup of clorox down the drains, to allow it to sit int he trap for an hour or so is also a good way to kill germs that cause odors.
I soak mine in CLR a couple of times a year. And I spray the whole shower with Lysol all purpose every time I use it. But if you use soap in the shower, you pretty much take care of the germs.
Spray your bathroom with Lysol ... If it hasn’t got me yet, then I think I am home free.

This is old news. They had an outbreak of Legionella at some hospitals and traced it to the showers.

My water is just fine.
I always bury our garbage, used motor oil, old car batteries, dead animals and the sewage from our boat, well below our wellhead.
The libs below me probably don’t take all that many showers anyway, so I fail to see any problem here.
I wonder if those darn flow controllers prevent bacteria from being flushed out well enough.
I give up. Not only do I dine at sidewalk cafes while automobiles pass by,
and eat red meat and fish with mercury and apples sprayed with pesticide,
and look at the sun without glasses,
and sunbathe,
and microwave my food in plastic containers,
and drink unfiltered city water,
and eat veggies out of tin cans,
but I shower once a day.
Sheesh, I should go never get out of the bed in the morning.

This looks like a good thread for the oh nozzzz guys LOL. Spray the head with cleaner once a week, oy.
So I guess we’re supposed to quit taking showers and let the Staphylococcus aureus and other pathogens build up on our skin? Personally, I don’t drink water from the shower nozzle.
I make “volcanoes” in all my drains once a month...a couple generous tablespoons of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) chased by a cup of white vinegar...wait 5 minutes...follow with hot water. Simple, and works like a charm to clean and freshen all drains.
And mother’s milk contains cancer cells.
We’re doomed!
