Threshold Editions, part of Simon & Schuster, announced today that conservative radio host and author Mark R. Levin’s “Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto” has officially sold one million copies since its release in March. No thanks to the mainstream media.

As the Culture and Media Institute detailed in a new Special Report “Unmentionable: Best Selling Conservative Books and the Networks that Ignore Them,” Levin’s book, which spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the New York Times Best Sellers List, has been ignored by the mainstream media. Levin told CMI that “we have not heard from any of the major networks, and the only major newspaper that has interviewed me is Philadelphia Inquirer, and that’s because I’m from Philadelphia.”

I wish Oprah would make it recommended reading for her book club.

One million!

Or in MSM-speak, “tens of thousands”

“Will Networks notice?” Well, I think I can safely state that Charlie Gibson won’t.

Who cares if the networks notice. The people don’t watch the networks anymore.

The biggest “whistler in the graveyard” has to be the New York Times - which had to publish that it was on the TOP of their best-seller list for 12 weeks and yet never even review it.

Outstanding! Knew it would happen. I bought two copies (one for my brother Michael). Levin is one of the few true constitutional attorneys remaining in this country.

The New York Times regards books by conservatives for conservatives as irrelevant to serious book buyers.

They don't care how many copies it sells, like they don't care about how many racing forms or porn magazines are sold.

They are some other form of printed material, not relevant to their world of books.

I just gave a copy to my Democrat neighbors. The husband does not read much but the wife said she loves to read. She told me a few months back that they do not understand politics, so I took that book to her. I feel it will open her eyes and then she can tell him what she is reading. He gets riled sometimes and I think she will have a better influence on him than I can. LOL!

I just picked it up at my library today. It took weeks. They had never heard of it (supposedly) until I requested it.

They’ll notice but they won’t report it to the few hundred people that still watch the legacy media.

Many librarians are liberal and will not buy conservative books, even if they reach the top of the sales lists. However, they will carry every book by Hillary, Bubba, 0bama, etc.

It would be interesting to see a list of the books that have been #1 on the Times best-seller list yet were never reviewed by the Times. Has the New York Times Book Review ever reviewed a book by Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Colter, Bernie Goldberg, Walter Williams or Mark Steyn? Maybe there are one or two that got reviewed, uh, make that savaged.

Mark Levin is at the genius level, IMO. Glad to see the book is successful. Also, glad to see he made tens of thousands of dollars off of it too.
