Kanye West rushes the stage while Taylor Swift was thanking people for her award for “Best Female Video”. He says “I’ll let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos ever.”
The audience started booing Kanye.
Boo! That has got to be one of the most disrespectful acts I have ever seen on live TV. What a disgrace Kanye. Boo! Boo! Boo!
Although: I bet Kanye West does the Single Ladies dance at home and couldn’t stand the idea that Beyonce lost.

Holy crap. What an asshat. Taylor is a sweet teenage girl with sweet teenage girl fans. I teach her songs to some of my young female guitar students. They adore her. She’s a fine young singer. Nothing wrong with her music. What a total dick.

I just watched the video. Can’t help thinking it was staged. The camera cut away just before he came out. How did he get Taylor’s mic? Then, it cuts back to him. He mentions Beyonce, and boom, they’ve got a tight reaction shot of Beyonce. I don’t know if Taylor was in on it. But I think it was staged.

They have automated cameras and canned shots already focused for each seat. All the director had to do was push a button, and just like magic, there she is. Takes less than three seconds.
To add insult to injury, after Kanye handed the microphone back to Swift, her time was up, and MTV cut to a video featuring Tracy Morgan and Eminem.
According to sources at the VMAs, Swift was seen hysterically crying backstage after Kanye’s outburst, making it convenient that her performance of “You Belong to Me,” which immediately followed the acceptance speech, was prerecorded. Wale, who is serving as MC for the house band, told the crowd, “You can’t fault a man for speaking his mind,” which was promptly met by boos from the Radio City Music Hall crowd. According to our sources inside Radio City, Kanye was promptly tossed from the VMAs after interrupting Swift’s speech.
