That’s *exactly* it. And why I call myself a conservative, despite having some non-traditionally conservative ideas.
Because I believe in personal responsibility. Not leaving it up to “the guvinmint”. In matters great or small, you follow the golden rule, or it’s Kantian equivalent.
In other words, you act as you’d like everyone else to act. Do unto others as you’d have them do unto you. Clean up your *own* mess. Don’t say “it’s someone else’s problem”, give charity yourself if it’s needed, don’t rely on government handouts.
The government is not your friend. You have well-meaning people who are stymied by the colossal bureaucracy, mixed with incompetents who are in it to play power games over others.
Thanks to the original poster for finding these example photos. They’ll be put to good use - to illustrate that Human Folly is BiPartisan. I just think there’s far more on the Left.
