No evidence of foul play????
Damm.
Murdered by one of her professors.
I’m guessing the professor had something to do with it. He suddenly canceled a class right before she went missing and I’m guessing he pulled the fire alarm as well.
How very very sad.
I guess lots of times people kill themselves and stuff their bloody clothes in the ceiling.
Shame pretty girl I hope they solve this!!
Awful to contemplate that this lovely, brilliant young woman was perhaps killed in her lab building...
They’re saying on Fox and some local sites that the police will have a statement around 5:30 today.
Oh no. Terrible.
“Awful to contemplate that this lovely, brilliant young woman was
perhaps killed in her lab building...”
Especially as being in a university research laboratory late in
the day (or in the early AM hours) is often about the safest place
on the planet (as you’re the only one there!).
But when I hears about this story, my amateur/naive inner-sleuth
said “Talk to the professors, postdocts, grad students AND janitors”.
Any of the above could have done the evil deed.
She was supposed to be married today. Heartbreaking.
Agree with both of your points.
Odd.
According to Fox News the body of this young woman has been found. News conference at 5pm ET.
<Im guessing the professor had something to do with it. He suddenly canceled a class right before she went missing
Looks like it, huh? This is sad on many levels - a young, gifted person who will not be able to contribute to science, a bride-to-be who will not have her wedding, a professor driven to do something that will ruin his life.
I don’t think professors are perfect, but I like to think that the faculty I’ve been privileged to go to school and work with would never think of murder. Most folks I know, tho they’re misguided libs, are decent, gentle people who could never commit such a crime.
That said, men do all kinds of things when they are rejected in love or sex. Who knows what happened between the student and the professor? Sad all the way around.
Investigators Schedule 5:30 P.M. Briefing On Missing Yale Student
Investigators leading the search for Annie Le, the 24-year Yale graduate student missing since Tuesday, have scheduled a briefing for 5:30 p.m.
Fox61 is reporting that police sources have told the station that Le’s body has been found in the research building where Le was last seen.
The press briefing comes at the end of a day full of unconfirmed reports that police have found evidence related to Le’s disappearance.
Le, who was to be married Sunday on Long Island, has been the focus of an intensive search since her disappearance. Dozens of Yale, New Haven and state police and FBI agents have been involved in the search, which in the last day or so has focused on the research building at 10 Amistad St.
Le was last seen entering that building about 10 a.m. Tuesday. Investigators, who spent hours pouring over surveillance tapes, have been unable to identify Le leaving the building.
Le, originally from Placerville, Calif., was set to get married Sunday at the North Ritz Club in Syosset, N.Y. Workers at the club say the wedding was canceled Friday.

Sad news. I hope they find and execute the animal who did it.
There is a bit of folklore in my part of Pennsylvania--probably true--about the mafioso whose remains were found chopped up inside a sealed metal barrel, with a suicide note inside.
That's quite a feat.
