I was born into the WWII and learned to understand people lime Hitler, Lenin and Mao who were walking the earth at the time. After the war our attention was focused upon the communists and their threat to us. The country was very concerned for its safety given the risk imposed by the USSR on a daily basis. At the age of nine I made a personal oath with myself to fight communism with all my ability. I was not alone in this type of commitment; many of my young friends felt as I did.
At eighteen I joined the USMC to act on my personal commitment and I served for four years to help defend the country from communism in general but the USSR in particular. Every single morning I listened to the early news to see if a war with Russia had started. It was the reality of the times and it continued after I was discharged, day after day, year after year.
When Ronald Reagan brought an end to the USSR, I was very happy indeed but I still was suspicious of Russia.
But having lived through all that and being no real friend of Russia, I can’t get over the everyday feeling that I trust Vladimir Putin more than I trust NO-BAMA. Just last night BHO spent an entire hour lying to the American people un-apologizingly about his real motives regarding his government/CARE.
How can we trust a guy who is filled with hatred for our beautiful country and who discredits our fellow Americans from his bully pulpit and who surrounds himself with extreme radicals who share his evil beliefs? On this particular day, 9-11-9, sixty years after my previous oath to myself, I choose to take a second oath. And that oath is that I will stand in opposition to BHO and everything he stands for with all my ability. See you in DC tomorrow.

I agree with what you said. It’s just that it’s not only Obama. It’s his blind followers that really bother me.
I had a family member write a vicious letter to me because saying I’m some kind of Rush Limbaugh right wing nut. He said the whole family thinks I’m crazy and that I brainwashed my husband to be thinking like a republican a—hole. He couldn’t debate any facts that I brought up but resorted to some nasty personal attacks. A line was crossed and he thought nothing of it. Sadly, he’s not the only liberal I’ve seen to do that.
God help the people of this country to wake up.

Because Putin’s way over there in Russia. And deep down, I think he’s scared of us.
Let’s put it this way: I think Vladimir Putin is, both regarding himself and the nation he helps rule, looking out for Number One. President Obama? I’m not sure he’s either that smart or that tough.
I would like to ask you, however. While you focused your suspicions on "official" communists in Russia and Eastern Europe, did you not notice their takeover of our schools and universities? Did you overlook the dismantling of the Constitution by the Warren Court and by FDR before that? Did you not know about FDR applying the same economic measures as Mussolini's fascists in Italy? Did you not know about FDR's attempt to change the size of the Supreme COurt (from 9 to 19, after the Court declared New Deal unconstitutional)?
The point is, socialists were here and working to undermine this country from the very beginning of XX century (they called themselves "progressives" in this country). So far, Obama pales in comparison with FDR, but the country is as thirsty for the make-over from which we may never recover.
John Edwards was partially right. We are increasingly two Americas. One believes in Christianity, Western Civilization, our Constitution, institutions, values and traditions.
The other America does not. The other America is currently in charge and knows no restraint. God help us.
The answer is you cannot trust a person who has no regard for the unborn, or as his verbiage on the health insurance debate shows, has no regard for the elderly and those with serious or terminal infirmities. It is that simple.
I can’t argue your point but BHO will do us more damage than Putin.
