Well, one letter written to the paper dealt with the topic of health care being a human right. I have tired of that arguement. As others on FR have mentioned before me, health care is a service. No one has the right to the labor of others without their permission. IMHO, anyone who states that health care is a “right” is advocating a form of slavery. While that may sound harsh, think about it for a moment. A large amount of people getting the free use of a segment of the populations labor...if thats not slavery, its pretty close.
................OK, sorry, had a bit of fun with it. If you do have any examples of bias, post a bit as an example, if you can nail down obvious falsehoods gather a trail of it and have a meeting with the editor. If you get bupkis then write it up and start contacting advertisers.
I agree the Grout guy has to go in the cause of national security, but I think Allie with the caramelized onion, sausage, and goat cheese pizza recipe is salvageable. :-)
My advice: When you are overwhelmed by leftys, use their inability to remain composed against them.
Be intentionally irritating, like continually asking them to explain themselves as if their last explanation was insufficient. Ask if they believe people are basically good, or if people are generally self-sufficient. Get under their skin, not by underscoring your positions, but by underscoring the inconsistancy of theirs. Make them reveal their absurdities.
They will eventually reveal their genuine selves: small people on the inside with little room in their hearts for anyone but themselves.
Granted, this is more of an art than a science, but you know your audience better than I, and I’m sure you can figure out their weaknesses.
Once they’re broken, they’ll give up go elsewhere.
