FOR every woman expecting the earth to move, there are two with more practical motives.
From relieving boredom, to keeping the peace or curing a headache, women have sex for many reasons but romance and passion come rather low on the list, a new book has revealed.
One woman even admitted to having sex just so her husband would put the rubbish out.
"Research has shown most men find most women at least somewhat sexually attractive, whereas most women do not find most men sexually attractive at all," Why Women Have Sex authors Cindy Meston and David Buss said.
Having apparently discounted physical attraction, the 1000 women interviewed by the Texas University professors gave a huge range of reasons for sleeping with a man.
One said she did it for a spiritual experience, proclaiming: "It's the closest thing to God."
But mostly the explanations were far more mundane, with 84 per cent admitting to having sex just to ensure a quiet life or to bargain for household chores. One woman said: "I have sex to relieve the boredom because it's easier than fighting. Plus it gives me something to do."

I have been married 15 years. My wife and I have sex 3 or 4 times a week. (Except for that time of month). ALways interesting. Im 39 she is 43. We have two kids alot of it is "quickies" but we have fun anyways. We both have kept in good shape and it is actually better now than when we first got married. :>)))))))))))))

B.S. again on the part where women do not find most men sexually attractive. My husband is hotness personified and I want him regularly for that reason alone :-D. Women look as much as men and when they likey. They wantey. Plain and simple.

I dunno, I had a crazy-look-in-her-eyes woman as a roommate and the fact that she was beautiful made that all right with every guy she wanted, and she wanted them all.
Ok the man I was dating at the time was the only hold out and give him a break, I was standing right there.
The first time she met him she exclaimed his name with joy, rushed to him, threw her arms around him and said she had heard me talk about him in such a way that she just couldn’t WAIT to meet him. On the one hand, he was flattered and having a beautiful woman throw her arms around him like that was nice for change. On the other hand he said the extreme familiarity and intensity from someone he just met made him want to ‘run’ and that he had seen ‘that type before.’ Her type based on my observations? Could it be that the advent of contraception, coupled with the leftist/feminist movement touting mythical 'liberation for women' to be adulterous if they want to be, as if 'free sex' was ever realy going to be free of emotional weights and measures ... could it be that the essence of what makes women so interesting has been 'uglied', cheapened?
Has the greater availability of objects for sexual play erased from young men's psyche the dream of the goddess they first encountered in Mother, so they cannot grow into adulthood transforming that dream into the reality of their own parenting practices?
Has this cheapening of sex made it impossible for many men to grow up and have a normal heterosexual life with a good woman?

Speaking for myself, after 25 years of marriage we may not do it as often as in our 20’s, but still several times per week.
And here I was thinkng he’s a slacker.
The crazy ones can be fun for a while, but the craziness gets to be too much real fast.

In my experience it was an unnecessary thing for the woman to say, and it made her appear somewhat starved for attention, like sex didn’t happen for her that often.
Thanking someone for a nice evening out, for flowers or a gift, that’s normal and expected. But for sex....?
I suspect that Mizzzzzzz Protester is doomed to disappointment. The nice young ladies most likely prefer the company of actual men to the likes of her.
Not all people like the same things. We have different tastes in food, in art, in clothes, in entertainment. Terrible if we all held the same ideas, lived in identical homes, reacted the same way to situations. Reminds me of utopian novels.
