The Obama administration's auto czar on Tuesday said political interference by Congress could jeopardize the bailouts of General Motors and Chrysler.

TARKIN: The Imperial Senate will no longer be of any concern to us. I have just received word that the Emperor has dissolved that misguided council permanently. The last remnants of the Old Republic have finally been swept away.

TAGGE: Impossible?! How will the Emperor maintain the control of Imperial bureaucracy?!

TARKIN: Senatorial representation has not been formally abolished. It has merely been superseded for the duration of the emergency. Regional Governors now have direct control and a free hand in administering their territories. From now on, fear will keep potential traitors in line.

Yes, Congress will. The O wanted to take on the “assault weapon” issue early on, and Pelosi et al told him in no uncertain terms to not go there - and he didn’t.

Impeachment is always an option, and by throwing everyone under the bus that vote doesn’t bode well.
