“Free Republic University, “
Homer, what’s nice about Free Republic University is that Obozo is not permitted to command the airwaves to speak to us.

I watched “Golden Boy” last night thanks to Netflix. I don’t think I would go as far as Nugent does in praising the movie. The main problem for me was the cliche-ness of the storyline. Lee J. Cobb’s character would have worked better if he had completed a scene or two without breaking into sobs. Give the man some Prozac! Even with the problems I will give “Golden Boy” a 6 or 7 on the 10 scale. It was well done given what they had to work with. Something that stands out for me is that it is the only time I remember seeing Bill Holden when he looks youthful. In all his other movies he looks like a middle-ager cast as a young guy. His voice sounds different, too. Maybe he was a smoker.
