Word For The Day, Tuesday, September 8, 2009

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

I don’t think they are dumb enough to turn Glenn into a martyr.
It is* slipping away.....they measure it with polls....and it's gotten so bad they can't even skew their own polls anymore.
*(Please note: it depends on what the meaning of "is" is.....)/sarcasm.
and who ever thought an old coot at an anti-healthcare rally would lose his finger? I can see the left giving him the finger, but biting it off? things are nuts.
You know what’s a must for the DVR?
Tonight’s season premiere of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” on HBO at 10. This season will feature a reunion of the “Seinfeld” cast.
some of the comments WERE offensive. It was def over the top.
I agree with your position about her attire being unseemly, but there were a number of comments that were beneath the "decorum" we are expected to maintain on FR.
We spent the night on Chincoteague Saturday, does that count?
Its enough to make me a little envious.
I know what you mean......
Sure they are. They believe their own hype.
Unfortunately, the list of my estivations would fit on a business card.
Happy Birthday, California!!
Did you know that California became a state on September 9, 1850?
In those days:
the people had no electricity,
the state had no money,
almost everyone spoke Spanish and
there were gunfights in the streets.
Basically, nothing has changed except back then the women weren’t made of silicone and the men didn’t hold hands.

That is a very funny show but I cancelled HBO years ago.
my newly minted HS freshman had a good day today.
Yay for xsfrosh!
i like that well enough to consider calling her that on FR!!!
well it is shorter than "xsbrownie" (barely) and definitely better than "xsfish".
Wow, she jumped from brownie to frosh in one fell swoop! Glad she had a good day
We can’t have any fishy names or someone will report us to a WH Czar! ROR!
