Here we go.......
But they will anyway, but at least he won't be on my screen the whole day !!!!!!!!!
He is pretty good
Why do you insist on bad-mouthing the greatest golfer to ever play the game? Every week we see your drivel about the coverage for Tiger Woods. Get over it! If you don’t like it, don’t watch it.
He is magnificent and highly devoted to his game.
I could also choose to watch him or not.
I’ll take that compared to the Obama butt kissing done daily...
Maybe it could be “putter” envy?
LOL!
Once again I will have to explain the title of my posting to a certain few maroons who don’t quite get it........ok, I’ll write very slowly for you........
My objection is to the “media coverage” of Tiger Woods, not of Tiger Woods.
Let me know if you need more help in understanding this.
They used to do the same thing with Jack back in his heyday.
They more things change.....
He is intense, fallible and very, very good. I love watching him. Always have, always will.
What is amazing is that if the media does not cover the game, who will?
If the media coverage bothers you, why not turn it off? As long as the media gets higher ratings and thus MORE INCOME from the coverage of Tiger Woods, they will continue. He brings higher viewer ratings to PGA events, and larger attendance as well. You are to blame. If you and everyone like you that dislikes the coverage would turn off their sets, they would have fewer viewers.
Celebrating exceptionalism is a good thing. Tiger represents that very well and it should be celebrated and observed and role modeled. America has in the past celebrated the exceptionalism of Jack, Arnie, Michael Jordan. You suppose you could focus on someone else much less exceptional or mediocre. However, Americans appreciate the exceptional that is just the way we are. Oh btw Obama does not get this either.
The ratings of any golf game no matter which network covers it, hinge on how well Tiger Woods plays. If he has a chance to win, the ratings go up. If he is out of contention, the ratings usually go way down. This year’s exception was the British Open where Tom Watson almost won it all at age 57. Tiger did not even make the cut.
No, the greatest golfer to date to play the game was the late Sam Snead. Nothing against Woods, but I hate the Tiger hype we get stuffed down our throat. He’s the favorite of all the country clubbers because, darn it, he just ,akes them feel good! When he turned pro he had tens of millions in endorsements in the bank and IMG shilling for him, and whenever he was in a tight tournament you could count on some douchebag sportswriter to ask the other guys, “What are you going to do about Tiger?” This is why, when he gets punked it’s usually by a foreigner. Golf writers treat him like Chris Matthews treats Obama.
Whine, whine, whine....People actually watch just to see Tiger play!
I agree with everything you wrote except I’ll take Bobby Jones.
We as Americans should celebrate excellence and root for the underdog. If one would study Tiger’s effort and preparation and duplicate it they would achieve it themselves. I never root for Tiger myself I root for the underdog but I totally appreciate his excellence and know why he is successful. He works harder than the rest with the awesome talent he possesses. He take nothing for granted.
I think millions of new golf fans would disagree with you. Like him or not, Tiger Woods has been the key reason for golf’s popularity. Snead, Nicklaus, Palmer, all had their followings, but nowhere near the numbers that Tiger Woods has.
If you don’t like the media coverage, don’t help the media by watching.
I enjoy watching someone perform well and apparently many others do too. If this vanity poster doesn’t he can turn it off.
