Oh yeah! As a BYU alum, I just had to post this! It wasn't the best played game ever, on either side, but, the final score is what counts. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to OU's quarterback who was injured midway through the game.
Whatever happened to “Big Game” Bob(Stoops)?
Rise and shout, the Cougars are out!
As an Oklahoma State alum living in Utah, I have to say it was a great day in college football. Though I will say I wouldn’t want to be in Norman OK riding a bike in a white shirt and tie next week. That could be dangerous
Brother Kimball, Is “that” male or female or both?
Neither side played a great game. The turnovers in the first half were killing me. And OU really hurt itself in their final drive with that illegal procedure penalty. But, there is hope for OU. If they win the rest of their games, they can be considered by the BCS for the national title. Whereas even if BYU has a perfect season after this win, the BCS will actively look for and find a reason to eliminate BYU from consideration. Just ask Hawaii.
OK, that was funny.
Maybe Oklahomans will join the liberals on the Glenn Beck boycott.
BTW, have you found that one armed man yet? ;-)
Is that what they say, dear Reaganesque?
It certainly is!
What happened to the QB?
Here's my team ...
Go BYU! Go Cougars! Whatever. Both work. :-)
I really like my dentist.
She's cool, even though she went to Michigan and gave me a root canal. :-)
Very hard to understand Bradford wanting to come back for an extra year of amateur football behind an entirely new offensive line with million dollar offers on the table.
He very well could have made the difference down the stretch, but it's not a given.
The most gutsy performance of the game came from both defenses...and from that last 9 minute, 9 for 10, 78 yard drive by Hall, with the 4th down play deep in OU territory.
Great game. Sorry Bradford was injured and hope he is able to return within a few weeks. He's a GREAT QB , a great leader, and a very, very good kid.
When I was a student at BYU, for the first couple of years I had season tickets to the games. I remember once sitting near the band. The band members started a chant:
“Gimme a ‘D’!” “DEEEEEEEE!”
“Gimme a ‘N’!” “NNNNNNNN!!!”
“Gimme a ‘A’!” “AAAAAAA!!!!!!”
“What does that spell?!”
And they would all shout: DEOXYRIBONUCLEIC ACID!! WOOOOOOOO!!!!
Very funny!
If BSU wins out, they will probably get a BCS nod.
OTOH, if BYU should win out convincingly, then they may well, on the strength of this huge win against OU and a future win in Provo against Florida State, get that nod.
