“Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale - a tale of a fateful trip.
It started from this tropic port aboard this tiny ship...”
“Skipperrrrr.....”
That was one fun show.

I'll agree with that!
Ginger, no Mary Ann....no Ginger....I still can't make up my mind so I'll take both, please!

I always thought it was a terrible show but then again I did watch it.
I think it was more to see Mary Ann in those shorts than anything else. Also the idea of surviving on a desert island always seems to awaken some sort of hidden fantasy.

the last episode of "Gilligan's Island" was broadcast on this day in 1967. And it's been downhill shipwrecked for American culture ever since. There ... fixed it ;)

Our family special day in history is that today’s the second anniversary of burying dear old Dad....and to the day, the six month anniversary of burying Mom.

I’m sorry but Bob Denver (Gilligan) peaked with his earlier role as Maynard G Krebs in “The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis” with the immortal rising end note of “Work!?” I was too young to appreciate it until its many reruns but that was a show that I still remember fondly (1959-63).

Gilligan's Island was actually not that bad of a show. Plenty were worse. My Mother the Car was the worst of the worst.

Ha! My family decided to watch the first season on DVD tonight while munching on cheesy bread. Had no idea about this date being related to Gilligan’s Island.
