He seems to be heading toward a point of no return. He can’t continue to trash public opinion and burn through what remaining trust he has amongst the voting public like this. It’s unsustainable.
You may be right because it’s going to be difficult, now, to perform a Clinton-esque remarketing of himself to make himself more pallatble to the middle of the country. Maybe he does go viral and just let it all hang out to keep the allegiance of the far left Trotsky-ites.

Clinton could do the re branding because he was never a true believer. He never let ideology take precedence over his own political survival. Look what he did to come back from '94. Signed welfare reform, dropped any attempt to restart Hillerycare, Fired George Snuffleupagus and brought in the Toe Sucker to run the place. Most importantly he put Hillery on cookie baking duty for the next six years. Most of all Clinton was self deprecating and remained quiet while he was made the brunt of jokes. He stepped aside and let Gingrich take center stage, at least until he could turn the tables on the GOP with the government shut down.
Obama could do all of the same things, but he doesn't have the personality that would allow him to do so. He is just too proud to rope-a-dope.
