Lunch was very nice, and Husky girl was indeed following me around the minute I came in the door-I never eat much of the flied lice that is served with Chinese dishes, and she has developed quite a taste for it. The minute she caught a whiff of the container in my hand, she was ready to commit mayhem for what she knew I had brought home for her.
Why are you watching movies when college football is on???
LOL.......that was late this morning, but why are you watching football with tennis on?
Thank you-I love fresh strawberries!
I was in Ithaca and on the Cornell campus on Memorial Day.....I was thinking of a walk and lunch out there over Labor Day weekend........I just learned they already have a swine flu epidemic going on......I think I will stay away.
;^)
acckkKKKK! how could they LOSE? my SU grad neighbors have season tickets.....they must have been groaning!
OMG who watches TENNIS on tv???
eeks, yeah, better not tempt fate in the city of Evil.
yeah xshub and xsboy were watching and not happy. xshub used the word CHOKE. i feel bad for the QB. they saw him while touring the campus during the SU campus visit, Greg Paulis, and of course my ridiculous xs-men RECOGNIZED the kid and spoke to him, xshub gave him encouragement saying, he was sure he’d do great etc. Well he didn’t have such a good day today, but only at the end there.
Thanks Texan. And Happy Birthday to you.
the MIL watches......her hubby played tennis in his retirement.....and hubby wants to go visit his mom this weekend, take her out to eat and watch some tennis with her. both out oldest son and our daughter played in high school...we like tennis here. they both played volleyball and hubby still plays. we like football, basketball and baseball, too.
the san jose daughter was at the A’s game the other night. they were walking up to buy tickets and some fans just GAVE them two tickets for free. they like the seats and had fun.
Pitt took care of business 38-3. It was a little slow-going at first, but then they got rolling on the ground game.
My daughter got bored and wanted to leave at halftime, but I made her stay till the 4th quarter started. Had to get in our new, super-fabulous tradition.

Firefighters are different.
But PennDOT outlawed boot drives on any state-owned road, which is most of them. Didn’t want to get sued if some kid got run over.
i do not get what that song has to do with anything Pitt? bizarre.
Last year, in the second game against Buffalo, after the disaster against Bowling Green, they played the song before the 4th quarter. Pitt rallied and won, and a tradition was born.
It was a moment waiting to happen.
firefighters do that here too, collecting for Jerry’s kids, and that’s fine. That is not some little kid who wants to do an activity. His parents should pay the dang fees, that’s what we have always done. Let me tell you how it galls me when Falls Church HS band and chorus comes door to door with their hand out. we pay private school tuition and TAXES which pay for public school and all of our kids activity fees, and these kids are asking me to help them go to EUROPE? i am sorry, that frosts me. Kids need to SELL something, or perform a service for pay/donation, not just stand there with their dang hand out. we are not talking underprivileged kids either, these are white suburban kids.
oh aren’t you so knowledgeable about my alma mater and it’s traditions! LOL!
I just saw a movie trailer for The Secret Life of Bees........I hadn’t heard they were making it into a movie.
