Dick Gephardt (D-Mo.), said The Department of Education should not be producing paid political advertising for the president, it should be helping us to produce smarter students.

Every time the Dems mess up, usually by overreaching, they search the archives until they come up with something remotely the same and make an equivalence. I heard Mara Liaison do this tonight with truthers and birthers. Ted Turner did it in a 10 part series on the cold war (probably used in classrooms) between the soviet gulag and Kent State. It's infuriating. Republicans, instead of doing this, seem to always try to be "fair" and so mention that their side does it too, whatever egregious thing the Dems get caught doing.
