Just got back from Salt Lake from last night’s Utah game, so I’ve just taken a good look at the Blount incident. My brother was actually at the BSU game. At first, much of the crowd didn’t know what was going on. It wasn’t until the punch was showed on the scoreboard that everyone started booing.
What surprised my brother about it was, when Blount went after the fan, that it wasn’t even worse as the endzone seats are where the rowdiest fans at Bronco Stadium typically sit.
I would have probably posted something sooner about Blount being done for the year after this (as my cellphone has been dead all day and I got a text message from a friend of mine who works at KEZI in Eugene that gave me the heads up about it), but I thought I’d post something brief before I have to go back into work this afternoon.
It doesn't matter - the near attack on a fan was enough by itself to end his college career. Dump him - he's a liability
What you and your brother might not have seen was that before any of this happened, there was a bit of a situation between several Oregon players themselves! I’d have to go back to see but I’m going to assume Blount was in that group too - then he kept walking and the attack happened on the BSU player - then the prissy dancing backwards like he was taunting anyone to come after him....then the rest that you’ve seen. I watched it all live last night - the announcers were stunned and it just seemed like the train wreck would never end....
