The Guinness Book of World Records named Chanel "the oldest dog" last spring when a 28-year-old beagle from Virginia died

Does oldest dog mean "Oldest living dog"? Because without that caveat, the story makes no sense.

LOL...the temporal context is pretty important. When I was first assigned to Ft. Riley, KS, I was driving across Kansas on I-70 and saw a billboard for the Greyhound Hall of Fame in Abilene that was promoting the "World's Fastest Greyhound."

When I got there, I found out he was stuffed and mounted.
