Like most folks in this country, I have a job. I work, they pay me, I pay my taxes, and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck in my case, I am required to pass a random urine test (with which I have no problem). My problem is with the distribution of my taxes to people who do not have to pass a urine test.
So, here is my Question:
Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?
Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their rear - doing drugs, while I work. . . .
Can you imagine how much money each state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?
I guess we could title that program, 'Urine or You're Out'.
Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you do not. Hope you all will pass it along, though.

One step further in addition to the ones getting the handouts..... Urine tests for the ones giving the handouts, aka congress, the wh, the courts, their staffs and all who work in government.
The government is in the business of taking money from those who earn it legally and redistributing it to those who vote liberal.
Don’t expect this to change.
Only if the recipient of the check is inelegible to vote. All this "give-away" entitlement crap is just an indirect way of buying votes. Back in Colonial Days, only property owners were entitled to vote.
Should be the same way now...it would put a stop to a lot of BULL$HIT
This has been circulating for quite a while, and has even been posted here a few times. But the point of the message needs to be constantly put before people.
If people have to pee in a cup to fill many jobs, then how come folks receiving government handouts don’t? Gotta prove you are not a druggie to earn and PAY taxes. But there is no requirement to prove you are not a druggie to RECEIVE payouts FROM those checks.
Just another example of the double-standard in this country.

Stop all Federal welfare payments; that belongs to the States to decide and administer if they so choose.
A lot of people would not NEED to be on wefare if they could pass a urine test.
Being a druggie is one of the reasons you get a government handout. Not welfare checks disability checks. How they can get SSI when they never worked I haven’t quite figured out. I guess it’s the same way senior citizens that immigrate here from other countries get social security checks.
Getting a welfare check for some is a rite of passage.... passed down from generation to generation.

Correct. I dated a girl whose brother was a loser. He used whatever drug he could find and never in 30 years recieved a W2 form from anywhere.
His loser-ness was offically diagnosed as “chemical imbalance”. He got a disability check for it.
Don’t forget urine tests for the people working for the Social Services department who oversee those getting their taxpayer funded “sit-on-my-lazy-arse” welfare checks.
I can’t even get a disability cheque because I’m considered *employable* FTS!
I’d be all for distributing disability to everyone who can prove they have a physical disability that won’t improve.
Start using crack. Then you’ll get a check.

I have no problem with providing financial assistance for people with bonifide disabilities, whether physical or mental, and are unable to work as a result.
