I went out to a conference at the Four Seasons at Fashion Island in Orange County (Newport Beach I think) in the late 1990s. Prosperity was everywhere.
I can't imagine allowing a state with those kind of resources to default. It seem impossible.

If you’ve notice CA politics, it’s the Republican minority who are fighting to lower taxes in the state. It’s the Dem idiots who are poisoning the buss. environment by hiking taxes yet they get the votes. The irony..
