Law enforcement sources tell us DJ AM -- also known as Adam Goldstein -- was found dead this afternoon in New York City.
Sources tell us he was found in his apartment at around 5:20 PM. We're told drug paraphernalia was found at the scene.
We're told DJ AM had not been seen or heard from for a few days -- one of his friends went to check on him, but got no response after knocking on his apartment door.

Unbelievable...survived a plane crash..HOWEVER, who knows how much pain he was in..he was severely burned. Nonetheless, very sad news whenever anyone dies.

I think he is someone the kids follow. one of those reality show actors maybe? I have no idea.

All I know is he used to be fat but lost a lot of weight. Dated Nicole Richie (Paris Hilton's ex BFF), survived a plane crash, died of possible drug overdose.
He's important to someone but not sure why.

I feel awful for his family and friends...but really.. you are given the gift of a second chance at life after surviving a plane crash..and you waste it??? Thanks for clearing out the gene pool.
