And if he got Danzig and Corridor, then he would next ask for Warsaw. Hitler wanted war, and he would have just increased the stakes until he got it.

Danzig's population was mostly German so it was made a “Free City” under a League of Nations Commissioner

So... once again, a poor attempt at a peace agreement sets the stage for another war? How many times has that happened?
