Saw it last weekend. He’s a lawyer and says that lawyers are very risk-averse and that he should have gone to business school instead.
He blows it anyway. At least his girlfriend (wife?) is smart and beautiful, so I don’t feel too bad for him.
Yeah, this guy must have voted for Obama. What an idiot. Yoo Hoo was NOT made when LBJ was President. I remember drinking that stuff, it came out in the late 90s. He should have walked away with the money. What a buffoon.
double-or-next-to-nothing is a bad bet and increasingly so as the stakes increase, esp. over 50k if 25k was the worst he could do.
I’m the type to go for the sure thing, but I thought it was Fresca.
He came to the show with zero and left with 25,000.
I’d take it.
I remember that if it wasn’t for LBJ drinking Fresca, few people would have ever heard of it. He gave it a minor surge in popularity at the time.
For those of us behind a firewall, what was the question?
He’s a marooon.
He’s young, smart, and probably makes good money!
$500,000 invested now while everything is on sale....
The guy never would have even gotten to the million dollar question if he wasn’t a risk taker. My guess also was Yoo-hoo, since I remember drinking it in the 60s (and the commercials with Yogi Berra) and it just seems more like an LBJ beverage than Fresca, which I always think of as more a girly drink (though not as much as its diet soda partner Tab). That being said, I would not have gone for it without have more than just a guess to go on.
He still ended up with way more than he deserved.
This guy must have never worked in a restaurant. Fresca and A&W were the more likely choices of a dispenser, distributed in those big tanks. I can’t imagine yoo hoo or V8 was ever dispensed. And by that token, Fresca is more of an adult drink. Stupid lawyer. Gambles $475,000 on a guess.
Isn’t the first rule of litigation to know the answer before you ask the question?
