Didn't see this in search. I've heard of people suing comedians before, but I think this is the first case I've heard of a mother-in-law being the plaintiff!

Doesn't this sort of prove the comedian's point? It's like the politician who held a press conference to announce that he wasn't stupid.
It could be a stunt. After all, we never heard complaints from "Fang" (Phyllis Diller's husband) or "Pickles" (Buddy Sorrell's wife). Mrs. P.G. Wodehouse never seem to complain that every marriageable woman in his stories is an opportunist, arrogant witch or startlingly shallow or dim.
