So chances are many of us will also get to see it on cable this year, too. (not live, though, evidently.)
Please. btw, Universal Sports did a really good job with their Giro coverage.
la Vuelta (Tour of Spain) begins in the Netherlands??? Well I guess that was a they haven’t been an undisputed part of Spain since Emperor Charles V!
I can understand how why the TdF ‘dips’ into neighboring countries for certain stages. It helps generate interest. I suppose this will too, but the logistics involved in beginning a stage in a non-contiguous country...
Overall - Jersey Oro (Gold) - equivalent to TdF's Yellow
La Vuelta is fixin' to start in a few days.
Please let me know if you'd like to be removed from the Vuelts ping list.
Go Tyler Ferrar! Win a few stages!
A few years ago I believe the Tour started in England.
Exciting. Any word on confirmed competitors? I believe Lance is done for the year after the Tour of Ireland.

It's not uncommon for the TdF to start in another country, but it may be unprecedented for la Vuelta.
Baynative and I wish our Washington state rider the best too!
There's only 2 excuses for that - camping, or prison.
I hope it's the former. ;)
Well... he could still be trying to finish the Leadville 100...
I think he beat Dave Wein (who came in second) by 28 min. The initial weather was awful, and even with that flat he broke the record by 2-30 seconds or so.
That’s what I remember anyway.
