I registered and payed the $10 for the Veterans but i couldn’t make it to Luckenbach Sunday. Both my sisters and my brother in law and other friends made it though. Said it was awesome. Should have been there to make it 1860.

1,859 pickers played "Luckenbach, Texas" and "This Land Is Your Land." ...The "Pickin' For the Record" event was organized by the Voices of a Grateful Nation, a support group for American soldiers and veterans, whose Welcome Home Project was the beneficiary.

“In 2007, 1,802 Germans played Smoke On the Water in unison”
Oh come on, they really counted that? You could teach a 3 year old to play the power chords for Smoke on the Water in about 2 minutes. If they count that, I say we get 2,000 Freepers to play “Louie Louie” and take the record for ourselves.
