I love old aircraft, but when you're busy and you're trying to keep your pattern tight, an assumption on airspeed capabilities that later turns out wrong, can really get a lot of people in a jam.
Don't take it personal, but my faith in the FAA ain't what it should be.
somehow I knew you'd say that...:o) All they ask for is type...and I can keep up with anything in the pattern so believe me it's never an issue...
You ARE aware aren't you that I fly the same pattern and approach speeds as a 400 series twin??
By the way what does aircraft age have to do with traffic control? Don't be scaring the kiddies saying that old airplane have to be singled out...
