Why am I not surprised?
Snopes.com (Gary and Barbara Mikkelson, both pretty reliably guessable Dims, since he's an Angeleno techie and she's Canadian -- they met at UCLA, which ain't Claremont-McKenna) says that the veracity of the e-mail is "undetermined" and still under investigation. This in a pile of previous stories they've collected about Obama, damned few of which they've graced with a green dot, giving some people (including me) the impression that they homer vigorously for The One.
