Ray Davies (Pronounced Davis) Was rather prescient.

This song titled "Black Messiah" seems rather on topic.
Especially with the way that Obama and the Dems are trying to stifle honest dissent on "Obamacare".
From the Album:"Misfits" Circa 1986 or thereabouts

TOPICS: Music/Entertainment
KEYWORDS: bho44; change; fisheyedfool; obamastinks; shoebooty
Everybody got the right to speak their mind
So don't shoot me for saying mine
Everybody talking about racial equality
'Cos everybody's equal in the good Lord's eyes
But if I told you that God was black
What would you think of that
I bet you wouldn't believe it

There's a self made prophet living right next to me
He said the Black Messiah's gonna come and set the whole world free
He looked at me with his evil eye and prophesied
And he really believed it
He said a Black Messiah is gonna set the world on fire
And he's no liar, 'cos he has truly heard the word
Everybody talking about racial equality
But I'm the only honky living on an all black street
They knock me down 'cos they brown and I white

Everybody got the right to speak their mind
So don't shoot me for saying mine
Everyobody talking about racial equality
You hear everybody talking about equal rights
But white's white, black's black and that's that
And that's the way you should leave it

Don't want no Black Messiah to come and set the world on fire
A Black Messiah is gonna come and rule the world
Everybody got to show a little give and take
Everybody got to live with a little less hate
Everybody gotta work it out, we gotta sort it out
Everbody got the right to speak their mind
So don't shoot me for saying mine

Since when did the Davies bros go by the ‘davis’ pronunciation?

I also think of “Sunny Afternoon” from 1966.

He is a leftie tool:

“Father Christmas”
When I was small I believed in santa claus
Though I knew it was my dad
And I would hang up my stocking at christmas
Open my presents and Id be glad

But the last time I played father christmas
I stood outside a department store
A gang of kids came over and mugged me
And knocked my reindeer to the floor

They said:
Father christmas, give us some money
Dont mess around with those silly toys.
Well beat you up if you dont hand it over
We want your bread so dont make us annoyed
Give all the toys to the little rich boys

Dont give my brother a steve austin outfit
Dont give my sister a cuddly toy
We dont want a jigsaw or monopoly money
We only want the real mccoy

Father christmas, give us some money
Well beat you up if you make us annoyed
Father christmas, give us some money
Dont mess around with those silly toys

But give my daddy a job cause he needs one
Hes got lots of mouths to feed
But if youve got one, Ill have a machine gun
So I can scare all the kids down the street

Father christmas, give us some money
We got no time for your silly toys
Well beat you up if you dont hand it over
Give all the toys to the little rich boys

Have yourself a merry merry christmas
Have yourself a good time
But remember the kids who got nothin
While youre drinkin down your wine

Father christmas, give us some money
We got no time for your silly toys
Well beat you up if you dont hand it over
We want your bread, so dont make us annoyed
Give all the toys to the little rich boys

He chased after a mugger in New Orleans and got shot in the leg a few years ago. A fantastic song writer who lamented how England was being destroyed forcing people to emigrate. Beats Lennon and McCartney when taken one on one as Lennon and McCartney on their own are rubbish.

Actually quite pro-American if you listen to Captain America.

Treated badly by the stage union scum in NYC on their first tour. He fought with them and The Kinks were banned for a few years.

Waterloo Sunset is possibly one of the best ballads or pop songs ever written. I recalled a miserable bus ride in London when I was exhausted. My sprits perked up with the bus drivers radop started playing Autumn A;manac. This was about 12 years ago before full Islamification. I doubt I will ever go back.

I am quite sure he is Tory as he is known to be very cheap.

As opposed to someone like yourself, who settled on simply being an uninformed tool?

Ray Davies and the Kinks were awesome but I always heard it pronounced as Day-vees.

It's always been pronounced "Davis," but it's usually mispronounced "Davies" in the U.S. I think it's Welsh. Maybe someone from the UK can tell us.

The Kinks were my favorite growing up.

Soon we can't buy gallon of gas and we will be sucking pollo mints instead of cigars. But I know that Freepers would like to change the world and save it from the mess its in.

According to an Interview I watched on the Documentary Channel
Ray said that it was pronounced.
Maybe he's wrong or was just pulling everyone's leg.
I'll take him at his word.. This coming from someone that has their last name mispronounced constantly.
