LL Bean vs. Brooks Brothers. Everyone here wants Michelle Obama to dress Brooks Brothers on vacation, but it looks like she’d rather look like an LL Bean or Eddie Bauer catalog.

LLBean or Eddie Bauer would be an upgrade to what she’s wearing.
Looks like around noon either in fall or spring. No one near the beach, and presidents were not that isolated from constituents back then, JFK and daughter’s hair blowing so is daughter’s blouse. Wife looks like she has helmet hair.

You’ll get no argument from me about any criticisms of style of dress of current FLOTUS. She rarely wears anything flattering much less appropriate.
Personally (and I’ve said it before) I think MO cleans up pretty good & long as she’s not wearing those Shopko capris like Rosie O with the “folds” showing through, then I’m gonna step up & say it isn’t so “undignified” to wear the same kinds of stuff we all know millions of other women wear every day.
It seems to me she’s baking cookies and standin’ by her man and we know from things she has said before it could be a lot worse. The day she comes up to the mike & opens her mouth we can rightly call her a nitwit.
Be patient, it’ll come.

If the media didn’t fall all over itself to pronounce her a beauty with chic style I don’t think you’d see 200 posts. But the media lies which causes people to notice their lie.
I’ve heard quite a few ‘common’ women (not on this site) comment about the media’s adoring praise. The more they do it the worse it is for Michelle.
A lot of normal women dress in a casual way better than this. I think she should present herself as the First Lady. It is her honor to serve in that position and she should show it more respect. As it is, she looks sloppy. It’s her perogative but I’d bet even her good friend Oprah would want to give her a makeover for that outfit.

USA has launched a line of watches called jelly watches. First Lady Michelle Obama wore an ultra violet neon purple Jelly watch during her Eiffel Tower visit. The Jelly watch cases and straps can be mixed and matched.
One complete watch costs $175. Extra cases and straps cost $65 each.

Good point. She has nothing over the first ladies of the past 40-some years except youth. And you'd think her twenty nine staff (or however many) would see to her dressing a little better.
But, I remember a lot of noise being made about the clothing & accessories in which Nancy Reagan used to be seen, she with many friends who kept her in some pretty high styled gear. Never a "good Republican coat" made of cloth that I can remember, the criticism was always that her stuff was too good. Probably from the same people grumbling about MO's shorts.
Let her displease them, I say.
sorry to disagree, Valentine.... but I think you owe an apology to L.L. Bean and Eddie Bauer - LOL...I have bought things from both catalogs.... and never seen ANYTHING that dreadful in either one! I agree with whoever said - the closest thing I’ve seen to that is at Walmart.... and even there you CAN find some things that look better her “Grand Canyon ensemble”....
