PHOENIX, Arizona (CNN) -- A man toting an assault rifle was among a dozen protesters carrying weapons while demonstrating outside President Obama's speech to veterans on Monday, but no laws were broken. It was the second instance in recent days in which weapons have been seen near presidential events.

The funniest part is the entire MSM seems to be having a hissy fit over it.
I guess leftist aka progressives think it is poor judgement to speakout against Pres BO at Pres BO get together. Or town hall meetings.
CNN sure did tap dance around the fact that the black guy with the AR15 was an Obama supporter.
Indeed. Certainly the fact that the guy was black was a newsworthy detail. I’m surprised they didn’t go with pencil sketch to avoid having to reveal it in the picture.
Yes, that was a brother exercising his 2nd Amendment rights. I watched the video.
Oh, I’m sure some idiot soon will screw-up and call this one particular guy a “white supremacist” :-)
Good point!....Why wasn’t he interviewed by the media?
This would be a great Drudge headline.
“Assault Rifleman at Presidential Townhall was Left-Wing Plant?”
Pictures side by side of him holding the gun and supporting healthcare.
Drudge now.
I dont know ... seems to me that it is doing a good job of keeping the hired thugs from trying to intimidate / assault people
They came right out and said that he was against reform.
or maybe just exercising his 2nd Amendment rights
Sure would!!!
Or is he there thinking he can protect the one?
They did NOT say that! They said that about the OTHER guy who had an AR15. The black guy was an Obama supporter. Watch and listen to the video. Look at the signs around the black guy. He's an Obama supporter.
Laws NOT broken...film at 11...
I thought this was a leftist bringing the rifle. I imagine to intimidate the conservatives or to stop gun ownership.
That is not speaking out against anything, it’s the same thing as carrying a big sign, that says...’look at me, I’m carrying a gun and there’s nothing anyone can do about it’... Weapons are not for making statements at crowded rallies, no matter if it’s a constitutional right and totally legal.
Yeah I have to admit I’m charmed by people exercising their rights but if this form of demonstration keeps up eventually somebody will do something really stupid and and gun rights advocates will end up with a PR nightmare.
Do you honestly believe that’s why he is carrying that weapon in a crowd?
