What do you do when a wing is torn off your F15? If you are Captain Zivi Nedivi, of the Israeli airforce, you break off from your training exercise and return to base. You've only got one wing, but you make up for that by flying twice as fast. The F15 Eagle collided with an A4 Skyhawk.

AWESOME! Thanks for the ping.

Are you going to Reno? Unfortunately, I can’t make it this year, but Reno and Oshkosh B’Gosh are on my list for next year!

I saw it on discovery channel last week. I’ve been looking but can’t find it.

It was a show debunking an internet video of a prop driven plane landing with one wing. They determined that a full sized prop driven plane just couldn’t produce enough power to make the landing.

I know the video you are talking about — it was apparently a model airplane.

It did not land on a carrier, though.

On the show I’m talking about the jet did land on a carrier with most of one wing missing. I think the name of the show is “Is it real” on the Discovery channel.

They showed the video of it to prove that a jet can do something that a full sized prop plane can’t do. I’ll keep digging though, it irritates me when I can’t find that stuff.
