Yeah, there’s no way . . . unless the depth of the water at that beach goes from 40-50’ to 10’ in a blink.

I agree. Though not trick photography, his low angle does make it appear larger. There’s a great video on his technique in post 19 below. Probably spends hours in the surf for one or two great shots!
