CLERMONT - Clermont police have interviewed one suspect who is admitting to putting up the dozens of posters pasted around the city depicting President Obama as the Joker character from the Batman film The Dark Knight, city officials confirmed.

Assistant City Manager Darren Gray said city officials have an individual "admitting to putting up 500" of the posters.

Clermont Police Capt. Eric Jensen said the male individual has admitted to putting up some signs, but investigators suspect others were involved and their investigation is continuing.

"We have talked to an individual," Jensen said. "He only admitted to some of it...We're still tracking down leads and talking to folks. We have not arrested anybody."

At this point officials are not sure how much damage was caused by the signs or the dollar amount associated with the clean-up.

Dozens of the posters were pasted around the city earlier this week. A pair of the posters were pasted to a Clermont Post Office collection box. They prompted the postmaster to contact the Postal Inspector's office, which is looking at potential federal crimes for defacing federal property.....

Millions of us should turn ourselves in and demand jury trials.

I don’t know.

Someone should go put up 500 Bush Joker signs and see if they get charged with a crime.

Are the police offering counseling to the “victims”?
Just wondering

President Obama stands by such tactics. He knowingly hired a propagandist who engagedin such tactics to design his famous campaign poster:

No more damage done with this than done by those putting up posters to locate lost kittens... Unless, of course, Mr. Obama's feelings were hurt or something. I hear *that* is a hate crime these days.

Does the post office or the Feds have anything better to do?

Shepard Fairey is THIS guy:

And Obama knew his posters would be wheatpasted up across this nation. I recall seeing several up on public property the night they were released.

Shepard Fairey was behind this portrait of Bush. So much for Obama taking the high road on "nazi" insults.

Ridiculous! Damage by a poster, just an excuse to persecute those who don't believe in the 0ne. I wonder just how many people have been prosecuted for putting up posters in Orlando prior to this?

He should have put “lost dog-looks like this Joker” on each sign with a phone no. to the Eagles front office.

I went to get a new social security card the other day and they had a picture up on the wall in the office behind those bureaucrat lackeys working there.

Am I a bad person because I found it offensive.

I asked the Lackey why they had to have "that Commie " on the wall?
She was speechless.

She probably reported me as "fishy" and I probably won't get my card in the mail now.

I probably just should have asked if they had a picture of Bush prior to the Obama Picture.

It’s hard to find a stop sign in LA without a Bush/Cheney sticker on it - but that was legitimate political expression while criticizing Zero is not.
