If I were to pick the dominant figure of the 20th Century, it would be Winston Churchill. He is the only person to serve in important government posts during both World Wars. Even though he was managing an Empire in eclipse, he never lost sight of “the Big Picture.”

This article is a very good snapshot of him as he was about to be brought into what was very shortly to become a war cabinet.

And no, sadly, there don’t seem to be any more like him. Well, actually, I believe that there are. It’s just that the leftist dominated state-run media/entertainment complex will destroy such a man or woman today before they ever get near the levers of power.

Sadly I think you are right. I think the last of those who were even close were Thatcher and Reagan. We as a society are so addicted to the instant feedback media outlets that many (too many) of us fall victim to whatever agenda is presented by them. There in lies the true global power of today and unfortunately it is run by some real crackpots.
