KNOXVILLE — The 17-year-old boy who was killed while allegedly trying to break into a South Knoxville house died from a single gunshot wound to the chest, a police spokesman said today.

The kid that was found out back goes to a friend of a friends great grandson’s high school. I doubt he was very well schooled in the armed citizen part of the constitution.

Good shoot. The victim (the man defending his home) saved us a lot of money and trouble. Wooten was just going to be in and out of the system, getting more violent with every crime.
I’m surprised they published the name of a 17 year old “yute”. I thought that was a commie journalist no-no. Maybe it was a rare conservative paper.
That said, it grieves me that a teenager couldn’t be scared straight and put his life together and be a productive person. Not bloody likely, of course.
I like the way they said he had no violent offenses among the 5 he had in his brief 17 years. I guess “inciting a riot” is a peaceful act.
