There are only three front-drive cars I've every lusted after. Two are Citroens (the DS and the doo-shay-vah) and the third is the Cord 810/812. But both the Citroens are money-pits and if I could afford an original Cord I obviously could afford to keep six or eight of the Citroens running, so I'm SOL on all three counts.
I've been fascinated with the 2CV ever since I learned it was specifically designed to carry four passengers and a 50-kilo sack of spuds at 30 mph on farm roads, and get 100 km on 3 liters of gas. And they threw in the long-travel suspension so Farmer DuBois doesn't crack any eggs on the way to market.
