So the F1 PTB decided that they would force themselves to let Andretti Motorsports give up Millions of Dollars to put into the always running empty pockets of F1 ?
2. The Andretti’s have a lot on their side, two former F1 drivers, one who won the F1 Driver’s Championship. There is a push for more Americans in F1. And both Andretti’s are very determined to succeed. Mario was great on track, With a great personality. While the son has done an amazing job creating the racing empire. Don’t forget they competed against both Roger Penske and Chip Ganassi on and off the track. Michael’s name got him the door, but then he had to deliver. So F1 would be foolish to discount what the two of them can do.
I predict that the 200 million fee gets sweetened to about 400 million...... that will buy a lot of votes at 40 million each team! I count Williams, Hass, Alipne already without the extra 20 million..... 😆

FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem insists there will be ‘no rift’ over American team Andretti joining the F1 grid as new 11th team - and claims the opposition from existing 10 outfits is ‘about money’

The American outfit were given FIA approval to join the paddock in October
Mohammed Ben Sulayem is confident that there will be no rift driven among the Formula One paddock over the potential addition of an 11th team.
American outfit Andretti - who have partnered with Cadillac - are looking to join the grid, with their application approved earlier in October by the FIA - F1’s governing body.
Andretti were one of a number of teams looking to join Formula One, although theirs was accepted ahead of four rivals, largely down to the financial backing the Americans can boast.
