Since the gay lifestyle is superior to straight, why would someone want to be "ex gay"? And if your church is homophobic, just change churches, what's the big deal?

No, I think he was referring to how the left sees the birthers.

Yea, this is the same APA who removed homosexuality as a mental disorder from the DSM guides in spite of the fact EVERY study ever done on the subject points completely to it being a mental disorder.

Not one psychologist would remotely suggest the nymphomaniac was not mentally ill, but homosexuality isn’t? Be serious, the APA threw science out the window for politics with its decision on homosexuality decades ago.

The APA has been captive of the political forces of decomposition for many years now. It is not surprising that they would submit to the radical homosexual lobby.

Note, this is a political decision based on a vote, not a scientific finding. Much like climate change humbug.

If a straight man turns gay, it proves he was gay all along.

But if a gay man ‘turns straight,’ he is still considered a gay man in denial.

I get it now.

It’s my own personal belief that 95% of psychologists themselves are nuts.

“The American Psychological Association declared Wednesday that mental health professionals should not tell gay clients they can become straight through therapy or other treatments.”

“Science” that has become confused with politics is no longer trustworthy. Experience teaches us that if the APA did research and reached a result that conluded unequivocally to the contrary, the results would be either distorted beyond recognition or suppressed. Academics who choose to put politics above science assume the risk of a total loss of credibility, and many organizations will put forth no ‘science’ that hasn’t passed muster of aligning its ‘truth’ with a political agenda. The APA is one such organization.

The APA task force took as a starting point the belief that homosexuality is a normal variant of human sexuality, not a disorder ...

The outcome of the APA recommendation was predetermined by this underlying assumption. If homosexuality is normal, not a disorder, then it follows that "reparative therapy" is not only unnecessary but harmful to the fundamental nature of the human person.

The radical homosexual lobby wins again.

the 150,000-member association put itself firmly on record in opposition of so-called "reparative therapy" which seeks to change sexual orientation.

so what about pedophilia, incest, and bestiality? Are these biologically determined? The secular humanist worldview says that it is wrong to suppress "vital inclinations" if they are biologically determined.

The American Psychological Association declared Wednesday that mental health professionals should not tell gay clients they can become straight through therapy or other treatments. Instead, the APA urged therapists to consider multiple options -- that could range from celibacy to switching churches -- for helping clients whose sexual orientation and religious faith conflict.
Just in time for the body blow the entire industry will take with the Demwit destruction of private health insurance.
