Say what you like about out cousins in Great Britain, but they do have a sense of humor, although at times, it appears to be somewhat droll as anyone who has ever watched some of their comedy shows such as Keeping up Appearances, would attest.
Please don’t think that “Keeping up Appearances” is a good example of a British comedy show. It’s like saying “Blade: the Series” is the best horror-genre show in America (!)
“One Foot in the Grave” is the apogee of that sort of Gentrified Middle Class sit-com.
