A solution to Obama's high visibility
The Daily Times Herald ^ | 29Jul 2009 | Douglas Burns

A 78-year-old Carroll Iowa woman says she's so tired of seeing President Barack Obama on the airwaves that she's selling her television sets - two of them.

Deloris Nissen, a retired nurses' aide and former Kmart employee who was raised on a farm near Audubon, placed a classified advertisement with The Daily Times Herald for Friday's paper.

In the $5.50 ad, Nissen tells readers she has two television sets for sale.

The reason: "Obama on every channel and station."

In an interview Nissen said she is serious about selling two TVs - and genuine about her disgust with what she believes to be an overexposed president.

"I just got tired of watching him on every channel," Nissen said. "I thought, my gosh, does he ever stay at the White House?"

Nissen, who voted for U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in the 2008 presidential election, said she could live with seeing Obama come on television to make serious announcements. But he seems to be on all the time, Nissen said.

When the president does appear on a channel she happens to be watching, Nissen said, she quickly turns.

"I have the remote real handy," Nissen said. "I have the batteries. I'm ready for him."

She's keeping a bigger flat-screen television and selling an older 20-inch Sony and possibly a 13-inch set.

That said, she doesn't plan on selling it for less than $100 - even if Obama was just on Tuesday pitching his health-care-reform plans.

Obama's own advisers and political observers across the ideological spectrum have for months debated whether the now popular president is overexposed.

For her part, Nissen said she expects to take some flack for the advertisement in her local paper.

But she's not worried about any criticism.

"I'm an old lady, and I don't care," Nissen said.

Too late, Obama’s already sold the nation.

I refuse to sit in a waiting room (car/store/restaurant) that airs the obamanation and his propaganda. His fascist group might be in love with themselves, but I find that the lies they tell constantly as if we don't know that they are lying, makes me gag.

All he’ll do is try to explain “healthcare” to us again...

Yes. I think he should have a televised “Town Hall” meeting to discuss whether or not he is on t.v. too much; complete with pre-arranged questions and canned responses.

If he is too busy they could set a card-board cut-out of him on the stage and program the teleprompter to provide canned responses to the pre-arranged questions.

Shhhhhhhhhhhh
Every time he goes on TV the more likely he is to slip and tell the truth and people are starting to see what he’s all about. The more he talks, the more his poll numbers dive as more people see him for the Socialist he is.

Let the goof expose his true self...
Strategy people, strategy!

During the election and my general disgust at all the cable news networks, I’ve given up watching any of them—even FOX. I get my info here and from the radio. If I need to see any interesting news clip someone will post it here. The only thing I watch on cable are the science, anmial, and documentary type channels.

I have barely been able to even turn on either of my fairly new tvs since this man was elected. I cannot look at him, nor can I listen to him, nor can I listen to those that support or speak in defense of him.

If a nurse, who has probably seen a lot of exposed men in her life, says you are "over exposed," then it is time to quit. LOL.

On the other hand, as Obama continues to speak his poll numbers continue to tank. So, Obama, keep on talking. You are just another Emperor parading in no clothes, and now not only a child can see you for what you are.

I change the channel whenever his image is on the screen, too. It's nauseating.
