We certainly can benefit from the experience and perspective of a man who for eight years worked to defuse those dangers, protect our nation, and share the best of its ideals with the rest of the world, said Director Panetta, who served as budget director and White House chief of staff under President Clinton. Just whom is Panetta talking about? Certainly NOT Bill Clinton!

"The 2007 NIE report was part of a nefarious plan to make sure a democrat would be elected president in 2008. At that time they probably thought it would be Hillary since most of the senior analysts were Clintonistas and longed for the return of Bubba and his posse. But the chosen one started calling Bubba a racist and basically saying anyone who wont vote for me is a bigoted, red necked racist. Now these analysts are in it up to their necks. What will they do? Say that the 2007 NIE was incorrect. I don't think so."
Hey Cindy...this is a comment I jut posted on an article two slots below yours.

This event sticks out like a sore thumb. Obama certainly wouldn’t have invited Bill to stick his nose in. I guess Hillary’s building bridges to the future.

I seem to remember President Clinton reining in the CIA after the left hammered him on the Harbury and CIA/CRACK issues. Many in the MSM were running stories asking, “Do we still need a CIA in the post-Soviet world?”

this sounds preemptive, clinton never did anything without cover....either he wants secret info,or like a cat with the runs, wants to bury something.

President Clinton received briefings from senior analysts on counterterrorism and regional hotspots. Is there some reason he needs CIA briefings now when he didn't avail himself of the opportunity when he was President?
Or does he just miss getting debriefed by federal interns?

At first blush, I thought his visit was a slap in the face to Pelosi but maybe I’m giving too much credit to Bubba.
