You inability to use the shift key may have had something to do with it.

First hit “show cookies”, then you have an option to remove cookies.

I don’t think the new version of Firefox uses Cookies.

With the old Firefox, if I was in a tab, and wanted to create a shortcut to the tab/web page, I would simply drag the tab to the desktop and release the mouse button, and the shortcut to that particular web page would be on my desktop.

Now, when I do this, all it does is open the tab in a new window. I’ve gone to Tools > Options to try to figure out how to fix this.

Any idea? Thanks much. Been driving me crazy.

They replaced it with the more popular “show bacon.”

Yes, it uses cookies because all websites use cookies.

The version of FF3.5.1 I’m using is also missing a button so that I can set my cookie options. There’s a little link on the tab that let’s me see what cookies I have and delete all cookies or individual cookies. But there are no other options.

I HOPE FF doesn’t think that I want to accept all cookies, because they’re sadly mistaken. I did download and install the TACO extension to weed out the worst offenders.

In the latest FIREFOX,

1. When I highlight something to be copied or printed—it will not work unless I highlight from beginning to end of section I want. It won’t work if I highlight from end to beginning. It will not always work even if I highlight from beginning to end. What can I do?

2. How can one print an image from firefox? Right clicking in explorer does it. Is it not possible from Firefox?

1. Highlighting and printing works fine, as it always has. Hit Ctrl-P and then select the “selection” radio button.

2. Point to the image to print, right click, and then select “view image”. Then hit CRTL-P. Or, select “copy image” and then paste into any image editing program. Or, take a screen shot by hitting ALT-PrtScn, then paste into the image editing program.

Thanks much.

Often, the selection button after CtrlP is not available.

Will try the others. Thanks Big.

Just tried the select and ctrlP bit with your post.

On the SECOND try only will the selection option in the print window show up.

That’s persistently true.

I need to piggyback on your Firefox question. The YouTube black square on this page IS BLACK, no picture. It used to say “an error has occurred, try again.” Then Firefox did an upgrade. The words disappeared but the black square only is there.
