[history]
WASHINGTON - The number of newly laid-off workers seeking jobless benefits rose last week, though the government said its report again was distorted by the timing of auto plant shutdowns.
Unemployment insurance claims have declined steadily since the spring, but most private economists and the Federal Reserve expect jobs to remain scarce and the unemployment rate to top 10 percent by year-end.

they'd say, "well....that's what we expected."Obama will say that's less than we expected and we saved jobs from being cut.

I just want to know when this Fing Administration OWNS the economy The second we see any economic growth at all no matter how anemic.

But Obama said last night that they had fixed the recession.
Obama will claim he “saved” 500,000 jobs. It could have been a lot worse had it not been for the messiah.

You have to ask yourself how many jobs are going to be loss before these idiots in the White House and congress realize that all their spending is killing our economy and country. If I'm not mistaken it's 316. That is the total number of Democrats elected to office in D. C.

Housecleaning in 2010, Pelosi must go! I agree she MUST go, but ya gotta remember what district she represents (Sodom Francisco). They're quite happy with having the treacherous b!tch in Congress doing her part to destroy the country.

The Labor Department said Thursday that initial claims for unemployment compensation rose to a seasonally adjusted 640,000, up from a revised 613,000 the previous week. That was slightly above analysts expectations of 635,000. The old "report low numbers and revise up later" trick so the media can spout the economy is beating expectations while, in reality, it is not meeting expectations.

He’d probably try. Problem is, they’ve cornered themselves with the 8% unemployment figure they used as the ceiling if porkulus was passed.
