Consumer who? Stopped reading them ages ago.
Can get all the appliance, etc. reviews and ratings I need via the internet.

Anything that sucks, they’ll review is the way I understand it.

So what's the big deal. CR sells out, as have other allegedly nonpartisan nonpolitical entities. The Skeptical Inquirer soiled itself last year with an embarrassing polemic sucking down the koolaid on manmade global warming, that destroyed its credibility as a skeptical forum forever. They don't care, because they got a large sum of money from undisclosed sources to open a branch in Washington DC. Surprise surprise. Follow the money.

I subscribe only to the online version, for product ratings.
Routinely, when they fart out an editorial about (for example) socialized medicine, I email them to the effect of, “Just keep out of politics and review stuff.”

couples who couldn't get or couldn't afford insurance from their employers could buy it directly from a private or public insurer through The Exhange with sliding -scale subsidies based on their income." How will that be possible, since the private insurance companies wont be allowed to take on new customers.
CR lies.

A Nader publication. When is the last time Nader contributed anything worthwhile (I mean, beside during the 2000 presidential campaign)?

The magazines from Costco are also politically slanted in the Pro/Con section where they pose a politically loaded question and then have both sides answer.
It's how the questions are asked and what questions are used that led me to conclude they were libtards and canceled our Costco membership.
