I was a fan of Rush (pretty libertarian types), and Tangerine Dream.

My first concert was Yes in Jersey City in ‘76. Patrick Moran was the keyboardist. Seen ‘em twice since then. One of the best albums ever was Yessongs. Wakeman then going into Roundabout rocked.

I couldn’t agree more!

I was at Hampton 20 years ago this fall when the boys brought back Dark Star and it was incredible. A good Terrapin was always fun, but my favorites will always be a great Wharf Rat or Stella Blue.

Anyone but me into "Prog Rock"..........you know, the awesome 15 min long songs from the 60's and 70's?

I used to be when I was very young - pre-teen and early teens. Almost exclusively Peter Gabriel-era Genesis and the Fragile album by Yes. I still remember "Heart of the Sunrise" fondly. But I could never get into anything else by Yes or anything at all by Kansas, King Crimson, etc.

Other than recuperating from surgery last month, life is good! And I’m so happy to hear that you are doing so well. :)

There’s no Substitute for it, and I never want to hear that The Song Is Over.

Interesting. I have pretty much every Renaissance vinyl pressed. Even a re-release of two albums in a double set.

Some of it I love. Some not so much.

Dream Theater. Absolutely the best musicians you will ever see play live. Plus they are fans of rock and play many cool covers while touring.

Q: What did the Grateful Dead fan say when he ran out of pot ?
A: ‘what the heck is that horrible sound ?!” ;)

As a former studio musician with credits on several major label albums (RCA, Elektra, Metal Blade, etc.) and movie soundtracks, I know whereof I speak.

Congrats. But it's still a matter of taste, and the Dead have always bored me.

My favorite is the Little River Band. They were the only act – from anywhere – to have a top ten US single for six consecutive years. Still going strong at a casino or fair near you.

Maybe it’s just because they are a part of My Generation.

Mahavishnu were some heavy players. I like the early, raw stuff. I could have done without the Sri Chinmoy.

Sorry. I grew up in the fifties. NO Rock n’ Roll song requires more than 3 minutes 30 seconds.

When they play at Madison Square Garden, even the most expensive seats are still a Bargain — the best I ever had.

Ok, so you have the chance to date one of three women.

The redhead likes “Tales From Topographic Oceans”.
The blonde likes “Close to the Edge”
The brunette likes “Relayer”

So which one is it???

The one with the biggest breasts. Duh.

Although I like the Who, My Wife doesn’t much care for them.

I saw them six or seven times back in the mid 70’s.

Wouldn’t call them rock.
Wouldn’t call them jazz.

I guess fusion is the best descriptor.
