They are a bit late to the game...

You're right...Paul Crowe reported on the Neander diesel over three years ago.

It's an unwieldy SOB, at least in the form that I saw it in...but it's very possible they've improved it since then.

Don't know why the M/C world is jumping on this one...unless it's the solving of the realistic placement of the intercooler and the ability to put it into full production.

Interesting.

The biggest advantage of diesel on a bike would be range- there isn’t much room for a large tank, so the extra MPG of a diesel would be significant.

Actually, if they were able to accomplish realistic production numbers at a competitive price that really would be something to look at.
