It’s not fair. I never got to sail around the world. And he’s sailed around the whole thing. He should have to give me credit for sailing 1/4 of it.

His spunk has bankrupted his parents.

I hope he does something for his poor Dad who looked shell-shocked by the bills.

This kid and his father will have millions in endorsements waiting, along with a big fat book deal. Then it’s off to Mt Everest where he will double down...I have a sneaky feeling his parents knew he was a solid kid and could complete the journey alone and safely. It worked as planned....

From the interview I saw, they didn’t have much choice. He looked like an obnoxious snot to me, but I’m glad he made it.

Zac's journey reminded me of one I followed years ago, that of Robin Lee Graham in Dove in the mid-to-late 60s.

Or they hyped him into it in order to be rid of him for 13 months.

And it worked as planned.

Here he is, sailing into the marina to joyful cheers (and tears). I was there today, it was a thrill of a lifetime, and met this amazing young man.

Thank you, devane617, for posting. It was the most thrilling sight this morning, and what a privilege to be in the crowd welcoming this extraordinary and special young man home after his world record achievement.

He was overjoyed to be back among family and friends. What a fine and loving Christian family they are, too. He handled the speeches, QandA, media and autographing with graciousness and a special sweetness that is all his own. I did get to speak with him a very few minutes as we chuckled that he finally got the In-n-Out burger he had been dreaming of. LOL.

Will post a few pics now.

Fantastic photos and report Dita!
Thank you. :) That had to be so exciting when he returned and the crowd was cheering him. Very brave young man!

A sailboat can be such a challenge. Doing it all on your own in certain weather conditions, ect, is a feat in it's self. Doing it around the world, alone and starting at 16....Incredible!! Glad he is home safe and sound now.

Zac will be appearing on the .... Mike Huckabee Show(!!).... on FNC this coming Saturday night, 8 p.m. eastern time.

I wonder if he will talk about being homeschooled, and certainly about his faith. Very interesting!!
