was he surrounded by a security phalanx and his 220-member entourage to the mound and back?? Did he stand on the mound?

Oh, the boos in the background...I’ll be interested to hear comments from those attending to see if Fox overlaid applause.

There was at least one leather-lunged guy close to one crowd mic. Quite a few boos overall.

Looked liked he was wearing a jacket and bullet proof vest underneath. Everyone else was in short sleeves and sports shirts.

I agree. There were a lot of boos. I don’t recall President Bush ever being booed like that. Loved it.

Isn't Stan Musial a big Democrat? I believe he was a huge supporter of JFK in 1960.
I apologize if I am incorrect in this.

My cousin got fly out to STL to go to the game. He just texted me and said he was surrounded by Obama lovers and got all kinds of stink eye becuase he vocally booed him.
I think TV gives a different perception. On TV it sounded like he was mostly cheered with a few boos. My cousin said it was probably an even mix of boos and cheers.

Surprisingly, I heard no boos. I wouldn’t be shocked to learn that the crowd was padded with Democrats. MLB probably wanted to spare Obama any embarrassment.

My son said they didn’t show the pitch, they just showed him throwing it but didn’t show where the ball went.

Is the game still on? I can’t tell because every time I tuned in, there was Obama the God in the booth, and I gave up watching....
